Objectives

We are a consortium bringing together two networks of higher education and vocational training institutions: the Maisons Familiales Rurales (vocational training schools with a focus on rural development, similar to community colleges in the Anglo-Saxon system) and vocational high schools (lycées professionnels – equivalent to vocational upper secondary schools) from the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. Our consortium currently has 19 members, and this project is the first to be implemented. We aim to enable the students and apprentices we support to take part in European mobility experiences. These young people are mainly enrolled in BTS (Brevet de Technicien Supérieur – equivalent to a Higher National Diploma / Associate degree). A few students enrolled in DN MADE (Diplôme National des Métiers d’Art et du Design – equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Arts and Design) also take part in mobility projects. Several objectives form our common foundation: · Helping students open up to other cultures and ways of life · Supporting students in facing challenges within their academic path and professional project · Helping participants improve their foreign language skills · Developing short hybrid mobility (work placement or study) that is more suitable for apprentices We are also seeking to develop other objectives connected with the project: · Promoting engagement and responsibility among all actors of the consortium (students and staff), based on mutual respect, individual and collective success, autonomy, responsibility, and solidarity · Supporting actors in the implementation of their projects · Contributing to the development of local territories and professions while fostering innovation · Helping students and staff become aware of their European citizenship · Encouraging incoming mobility (for studies or placements) · Promoting the deployment of long-term mobility within BTS programmes (Higher National Diploma / Associate degree), including for apprentices · Taking part in and implementing partnership projects at European and international levels Furthermore, our strategy includes the programme’s priorities: · Inclusion: no discrimination will be made regarding students, either upon their admission to the institution or in the selection of participants for mobility opportunities. · Ecological responsibility: most of the consortium’s institutions are certified or are in the process of being certified with the RSO label (Responsabilité Sociétale des Organisations – equivalent to Corporate Social Responsibility certification), which includes taking into account the environmental impact of all our processes. · Digital transformation: developing hybrid mobility as well as learning and skills through digital tools. · Citizenship: this theme is addressed in a cross-cutting manner across all educational and pedagogical projects conducted with students.
