The Jean Monnet High School has a higher education center that welcomes 300 students each year in the tertiary sector (BTS Commercial Management/ BTS Commerce Gestion), in the industrial field (BTS electrotechnical) and finally in the field of design within the entity «École supérieure de design et métiers d'art d'Auvergne» (National Diploma of Arts and Crafts and Design mention Object - Digital - Materials / Higher Diploma of Applied Arts mention Objects, resources & territories). Headquarters of the Ecole Nationale du Verre as well as the Campus des métiers et des qualifications «Design, materials and innovation», the institution structures its educational policy around two strong axes: on one hand a rich and stimulating cultural offer; on the other hand an international opening and mobilities in Europe. To this end, since 2014, the Lycée Jean Monnet has held the ERASMUS+ charter allowing it to organize internship mobility for students and training mobility for teachers. With this 2023-2025 mobility project, the Jean Monnet High School aimed to support the training of students abroad by providing them with educational, administrative and financial support in finding internships abroad and carrying out these experiences. The institution wished to continue the dynamic initiated several years ago with all higher education programs: allowing the acquisition of knowledge specific to their field of study and innovative by having access to a European network of professional interlocutors (and international in addition in some cases), allow for cultural and personal enrichment, promote the spirit of initiative and skills in foreign languages, promote European values of sharing, tolerance, respect, of equality; and allow students with fewer opportunities to benefit from mobility by carefully accompanying their requests. Through this mobility programme, the Lycée Jean Monnet has also addressed teachers by offering them the possibility of obtaining training mobility in Europe, within schools, universities and companies, with the aim of perfecting the content and forms of teaching, to discover European pedagogies in their innovative, singular, divergent and complementary dimensions of French methods; and with the aim of acquiring or deploying skills and know-how specific to the field taught. Through this mobility project, it was also a matter of developing international relations within the institution by promoting inter-school and inter-company exchanges, making contact with European institutions, maintaining a dialogue with our various European and international partners. This openness radiates beyond the Jean Monnet High School, at the academic and regional levels, notably through events and mediation.
