The participation of the University of Lyon 1 in the Erasmus+ program is fully in line with its internationalization strategy. Erasmus+ strengthens the objectives of the new Governance, particularly with regard to improving the quality of exchanges, increasing the total number of mobilities, and fostering more active participation in European projects. Increasing both outgoing and incoming mobilities of students and staff is clearly presented as a priority. Faculty members, as well as technical and administrative staff who have taken part in a mobility experience, serve as excellent ambassadors to promote to their colleagues and students the benefits of a professional exchange abroad. The International Relations Office (DRI) of Lyon 1 is a central service organized around a Vice-President in charge of international relations and European affairs, a Director, and 18 administrative staff members. In addition, 16 other administrative staff (International Mobility Assistants) work within the 16 academic divisions of the university, forming International Relations offices together with faculty members acting as International Mobility Correspondents.
