The European mobility project plays a fundamental role in the institution’s international policy. Indeed, for several years now, Paris 8 has benefited from various actions under the Erasmus+ programme, which support, structure, and align with the university’s international strategy, defined in five key points: 1. Developing incoming and outgoing mobility for students and staff for the purposes of training, internships, teaching, either short- or long-term, in-person or hybrid; with a particular emphasis on increasing outgoing student mobility. We have notably observed a significant increase in outgoing student mobility compared to previous academic years. Furthermore, the objective is to reach the number of participants allocated for study mobility under this project. 2. Expanding cooperation opportunities, notably by joining higher education networks and developing structuring projects that drive change at Paris 8. 3. Welcoming, protecting, and including refugees or individuals at risk in their home countries. 4. Internationalising academic programmes by developing joint international degrees, courses taught in English, and short innovative formats. We work closely with the various departments and academic advisors regarding course offerings in English and the course catalog information available to incoming students. Several new initiatives are currently being developed in this area, and feedback from incoming students is therefore essential to improve these aspects. The same applies to new short-term mobility formats, we aim to build stronger momentum around these, both within this project and for future ones. 5. Structuring the European university alliance ERUA (European Reform University Alliance). We are observing growing interest in the European Alliance universities for various types of mobility and aim to continue building on this momentum in the framework of this project.
