Objectives

The main objective of the project was to internationalize our institution, which involved several dimensions. It was not only about establishing partnerships abroad, but also about creating a genuine dynamic of openness to the world within our educational community. First, the project was intended to enable our students to experience exchanges with young Europeans, particularly those with fewer opportunities. These exchanges offered them the chance to step outside their usual environment, discover other ways of life and educational systems, and build bonds with their European peers—through the possibility of taking part in a mobility program, but also by welcoming foreign students into our institution. This fostered open-mindedness, curiosity, and respect for cultural differences, while giving students who did not always have access to such opportunities the chance to benefit from an international experience. Next, the project contributed to developing our students’ language skills. Being in contact with young people from other countries allowed them to practice foreign languages in real-life situations, which went far beyond classroom learning. In this way, they gained greater fluency in speaking, enriched their vocabulary, and strengthened their confidence in using languages. Moreover, participation in this type of project fostered the development of soft skills and European awareness. Students developed essential transversal competencies such as teamwork, autonomy, creativity, problem-solving, and adaptability to different environments. They also improved their digital skills, which are necessary for remote collaboration. In addition, the opportunity to take part in a short study mobility within the framework of a project on well-being at work made them aware of important issues such as inclusion and sustainable development. These experiences allowed them to better understand their European identity and the shared values that unite the continent’s citizens. The project also provided the opportunity to showcase our institution and our pedagogical approach to foreign students and teachers. This highlighted the functioning of our institution, our management of international mobility, and our teaching methods. Hosting European partners served as a genuine showcase for our institution and contributed to strengthening its international reputation. Finally, the project aimed to enhance the skills of all our staff, both teaching and administrative. Everyone benefited from language, pedagogical, and professional training, discovered new teaching methods and educational approaches in other institutions, and shared their experiences with European colleagues. These exchanges fostered continuous professional development, raised staff awareness of internationalization, and contributed to the improvement of educational and administrative practices within our institution.
