Objectives

As part of this project, BUILDERS School of Engineering aimed to strengthen its international positioning and to develop mobility and collaboration opportunities for its students, faculty, and staff. More specifically, the school’s objectives were to: 1. Ensure a mandatory international experience for engineering students Every engineering student is required to complete an international experience (academic exchange or internship) lasting at least 16 weeks during their program, in accordance with the requirements of the French Engineering Accreditation Commission (CTI). For the school, this experience also makes it possible to: - Develop students’ intercultural and language skills. - Strengthen their adaptability, an essential skill in an international professional context. 2. Improve outgoing and incoming mobility procedures The implementation of a new ERP system and the management of mobilities across our two campuses, under a single International Relations Office, have required (and still require) improvements in our processes. These improvements aim to better support students going abroad as well as international students hosted at BUILDERS, while ensuring greater academic recognition of study paths and a simplified experience for all stakeholders. 3. Increase the number of international students by 5% Through targeted actions to enhance attractiveness and internationalization, the school seeks to increase the number of international students. This evolution contributes to enriching cultural diversity on campus, while also meeting companies’ demand for a larger number of engineers. 4. Expand strategic academic partnerships by an additional 5% BUILDERS aims to strengthen its international network by establishing collaborations with institutions recognized for their academic excellence and research. These partnerships provide differentiated study paths for students and improve graduates’ employability through international opportunities. 5. Encourage staff mobility The school seeks to promote administrative staff mobility in order to strengthen their sense of belonging to an international academic community and to improve institutional practices. 6. Support faculty and researcher mobility Faculty and researcher mobility is encouraged in order to: - Foster scientific collaborations and joint publications. - Stimulate the development of joint research projects. 7. Promote international training programs The school has made significant efforts to broaden its range of programs taught in foreign languages, with the aim of attracting more international students and strengthening its international reach.
