Objectives

Intercultural skills are essential for our students, particularly in the fields of hospitality and tourism. These skills are crucial for welcoming international clients, managing professional and commercial exchanges aimed at attracting foreign visitors to France, and working in multicultural teams. Furthermore, improving our students' language skills is a key objective of the project. Internships abroad are therefore selected as a priority to meet these needs. We are committed to sending as many students as possible on international internships. Given that our students are young (18-19 years old), we undertake significant efforts to explain the process, provide reassurance, and find suitable, safe, and supportive internship locations for their first professional experience abroad. We also pay special attention to the families, informing them and meeting with them to provide reassurance about the opportunities and details of the internships. However, financial constraints remain a major obstacle. To address this, we actively seek internship placements where financial aid can fully cover the expenses. We also face certain prejudices, such as the misconception that internships abroad are too expensive. In parallel, we continue to expand our network of partnerships, both within the European Union and beyond. Although we aim to strengthen our presence within the European community, it currently appears easier to establish partnerships with institutions and companies located outside the European Union in the fields of hospitality and tourism. Finally, we have made significant progress in expanding our partnerships across Europe, while also developing fruitful collaborations outside of Europe. This enables us to diversify the experiences offered to our students, while strengthening our international network.
