The objectives of this project are: To enable adults, beginners or advanced, to discover and learn to play the harp or to deepen their technical and musical knowledge. To collaborate with other institutions (partner conservatories, music schools, associations) to broaden the audience and the range of offerings. To develop musicality by fostering musical listening, a sense of rhythm, and harmony through chamber music workshops. To give students the opportunity to study on exceptional instruments and discover the different families of harps and their specific characteristics. To learn to practice independently and progress outside of classes, workshops, and stages. To foster exchanges between participants and create a community around the harp. To enable each participant to play a simple melody at the end of the workshop or stage and perform it during the final concert.
We applied for this project to be able to offer pedagogical activities centered around the harp to beginner and advanced adults in rural areas of France, Belgium, and Spain, thereby fostering encounters between musicians. Our needs included the ability to invite students and teachers, and to fund their travel, accommodation, as well as the rental of classrooms and instruments.
