- gain a better understanding of how our organisations operate in a socio-political environment - find out how, in each of our practices, we think about the place of people with disabilities and, more specifically, self-determination - work together to produce resources or make transnational resources visible on the themes of self-determination and housing - building and formalising a network of players involved in self-determination and housing - think about and set up dissemination events to work on a follow-up to the project
We applied for this project to work on the issue of housing and self-determination (and vice versa). Aware that the public policies of our countries are quite different, we wanted to get to know them better so that we could discover in each of our organisations both good practice and the different issues that arise. This 1st small-scale project enabled us to : reflect together on the theme of self-determination and housing, based on our own realities become aware of each other's approaches to disability issues in terms of the history and culture of our countries. To help people discover or learn about concepts and methodologies that provide a basis for self-determination and housing. to plan a project over two or three years in order to build resources that link our local realities and serve a transnational purpose
