Objectives

Through this project, the GIP FTLV and the Katholiek Onderwijs Vlaanderen had the common objective of adapting our training to the cognitive disorders of certain people who are far from employment in order to help them integrate into the professional world and thus meet the European challenges of inclusion. The treatment of these learning problems, thanks to the contributions of neurologists practicing ADNA, would make it possible to propose solutions for educational activities taking these disorders into account. To achieve this objective, the project focused on analysing classroom situations to identify these disorders, creating adapted educational activities, producing a booklet of good practices.

Background

The "Connection" project was initiated to create an educational landscape where adults with Executive Function Disorders (EFDs) are empowered to thrive in a rapidly changing society and labour market. It aims to equip educators with the skills and knowledge to effectively support these adults, fostering an inclusive learning environment that is adaptable and responsive to their unique needs. The growing need for inclusion in adult education, especially for people with learning difficulties related to cognitive impairments, is a strong reality. Training and integration organisations are increasingly confronted with these difficulties and lack the tools to respond effectively. This project aims to fill this gap by adapting training to these specific disorders.
