Objectives

The ultimate goal of this shared mobility project was an original creation: the co-production of an open-access interactive web documentary comparing the French and Swedish educational systems from a child's perspective. This web documentary, co-produced by students from both countries and a professional filming team, is a report that will be released online in French, English, and Swedish. This project provided opportunities to develop psychosocial and digital skills, strengthen language abilities, and explore a new educational culture through investigative and journalistic approaches. A wide variety of students participated, including both primary and secondary school students, as well as those with diverse profiles (students with special educational needs, disabilities, or from both disadvantaged and advantaged social backgrounds). They contributed their perspectives on school through the web documentary. The project also aimed to raise students' awareness of sustainable development issues, including transportation (sustainable mobility such as trains, subways, and boats) and the discovery of schools pioneering in ecological practices (energy neutrality, ergonomics adapted to all types of students, etc.).

Background

The implementation of this KA-210 mobility project addressed various needs identified by the teaching team during the 2021 self-assessment: For students: Strengthening student involvement, autonomy, and engagement through participatory projects. Broadening students' curiosity about other European countries. Enhancing inclusion measures. Developing students' critical thinking, particularly in education, information, and digital practices. Raising awareness among students about environmental issues, especially regarding sustainable mobility. Promoting active use of foreign languages in real-life communication situations. For teachers: Strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration. Integrating media education into all areas of learning. Better linking academic and extracurricular, formal, and non-formal learning.
