Our main objective was to enable trainees to gain international mobility experience during their training period. The aim was to share this experience and inspire others in their professional circle. The underlying objective was also to promote greater recognition of youth work. More broadly, at the level of the Musique Expérience association, the idea was to open up to the world, particularly when welcoming partners. For the SEGA coalition, there was a strong desire to develop and deepen the training of youth workers. For the MPTLL, already convinced of the importance of international mobility, the desire was to convey this dynamic to local partners.
The project was submitted with the aim of developing the role of international mobility in the training of youth workers. A theoretical intervention already existed at Musique Expérience, and we wanted to make it more concrete. In order to stand out from other training organizations, we felt that embracing international mobility was a good prospect, allowing not only trainees to develop new skills, but also us, as a training organization, to question our practices. On the MPTLL side, which already had international experience, the idea was to draw on the training experience of other partners to create awareness-raising content for professionals in the sector. It also sought to bring the perspective of a youth organization with experience in using international mobility as a tool. For SEGA, this project has enabled the development of new training content that complements existing youth worker training, thus meeting the needs for development and recognition of the profession. It has also enabled SEGA to contribute its experience in this type of cooperation project.
