1) Strengthen and improve professional practices related to the sexual and emotional life of people with disabilities. This objective aligns with the horizontal priority "Inclusion and diversity in all areas of education, training, youth, and sport." The expected outcome is mutual sharing among consortium members of practices, tools, and support approaches in the field of VIAS (intimate, romantic, and sexual life) for people with disabilities. 2) Promote sexual assistance for people with disabilities as a care and support service at the European level.
The project aimed to meet the following needs : - Training for professionals who support people with disabilities on a daily basis, focusing on fundamental intimate, romantic, and sexual rights. - Sharing of experiences to make these rights effective in medical-social institutions that welcome people with disabilities. - A methodology to analyze complex situations, co-construct actions to be implemented to ensure the respect of these rights. - Building the skills of professionals on the topic of intimate, romantic, and sexual life (VIAS) to provide appropriate responses to families and caregivers of people with disabilities. - Structuring an associative VIAS policy and developing action plans tailored to the needs and specifics of institutions welcoming people with disabilities.
