RESOLAB Europe has helped to understand children's actual digital habits and counteract the perceptions of parents and teachers. Resource centres and digital guides for children, teachers and parents have been produced to complement the programme. The provision of a secure and safe digital application has enabled experiential learning (improving children's social media skills, methods for supporting teachers and families).
Studies confirm that the age at which children first access digital devices is steadily decreasing. Parents and teachers express a need to better support children and prevent risky behaviour by increasing their skills in school and at home. The RESOLAB Europe initiative has worked to support these young Europeans in their digital use and prevent risky behaviour by involving families and teaching staff. Through the creation of an educational social network, project partners from France, Spain, Belgium and Lithuania have tested digital social skills education. RESOLAB Europe has thus enabled the development of digital resources tailored to children, teachers and families in order to develop key digital skills, in line with the European DigComp programme.
