EVIVA-PEIVPRO aims to enhance experiential learning by integrating interactive virtual immersions into social and healthcare training programmes. The project seeks to increase learner engagement, develop technical and interpersonal skills, promote inclusion and improve preparation for real-life professional situations. It also aims to enhance the image of social-care professions, strengthen the attractiveness of training pathways and better align acquired competences with labour-market needs. The immersive experiences enable students to confront complex professional situations in a virtual environment and consolidate their learning before entering the field.
The project responds to a growing shortage of professionals in the social and healthcare sector, worsened by a lack of attractiveness, recruitment difficulties, and the complex integration of newly qualified staff. Training organisations identified the need for more concrete, experiential, and engaging pedagogical tools, adapted to new generations of learners as well as adults in continuing education. Faced with these shared challenges across the three territories, EVIVA-PEIVPRO aims to modernise training practices through virtual immersion, strengthening learner engagement, empathy, and understanding of professional situations, and better preparing students for real working environments and the support of vulnerable groups.
