Objectives

The objectives of our project were as follows: Objective 1: Build bridges between EU countries to foster connections and civic involvement by networking partner organizations and young Europeans. This international networking aligns with our overall goals as it facilitates the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and expertise; promotes mutual understanding through cultural activities; consolidates the idea of a common European value system; stimulates the personal development and open-mindedness of participants; encourages exploration of different worldviews; aims to establish equal relationships between countries; and combats precarity by offering potential future opportunities for participants or collaborations. Objective 2: Democratize and promote the principles of popular education. Magna Vox incorporates the values of popular education in skill transmission during its projects. This is achieved through a constant hands-on approach, a horizontal relationship between facilitators and participants, and regular feedback sessions. Objective 3: The program offers participants a space for learning within a micro-society, in a non-formal setting. A team of educational and cultural professionals provides support through theoretical and technical input, with access to professional equipment and workspaces. The program includes reflective workshops on the specific issues of each discipline, debates on professional practices, and introductory workshops on new production methods or tools. Thus, participants will develop their individual skills for a common purpose, as both work periods and outcomes will be collective. Objective 4: The implicit development of teaching tools and the transmission of knowledge among participants through collaborative and intercultural work. The overall goal of encouraging young people to become mediators of their own learning is essential: by giving them a voice, the program legitimizes their thoughts, actions, and experiences. Objective 5: Finding one's place within the group(s). Togetherness and collective experience are central to the program. In all areas of the project, participants evolve together. To "create a collective" and generate empowerment, it is essential to ensure that the diversity of viewpoints, individual sensitivities, and cultural particularities are valued and serve the group(s). Our icebreakers are based on discussion time, starting from the participants' experiences and the words they use to describe their reality. Objective 6: Europe Convergence aims to be a space for observation and reflection on innovative European practices, with a focus on the Franco-German model. Meetings with professionals and discoveries of positive local initiatives will be scheduled to enrich their reflections. Objective 7: The future of the European Union partly depends on how young generations engage with its project. Young Europeans benefit from the possibilities of the EU without necessarily associating them with the union. One of our objectives is to offer young people informative, engaging, and age-appropriate sessions on the European Union, its functioning, its challenges, and the possibilities for civic involvement. Objective 8: Creating spaces for experimentation—to test, make mistakes, and learn through experience—is essential for learning. Opening up spaces for creation, beyond traditional training frameworks, will allow participants to stimulate their capacity for innovation and imagination, open their minds to new ideas, build the confidence needed to try new things, and improve concentration, emotional intelligence, autonomy, and self-esteem while legitimizing and de-stigmatizing their creativity. Objective 9: Since its creation, the primary aim of Europe Convergence has been to raise awareness among participants and audiences about international ecological issues through theoretical, practical, and participatory activities, as well as the project's own functioning. Objective 10: On their way to professionalization and mostly unemployed, the young people involved in EC face difficulties in entering the job market due to the precarious nature of their activity sectors. Through EC, they will be able to collectively develop their skills and expertise. The Youthpass will validate their competencies acquired during the project and give them the opportunity to self-assess.
