The Communauté d'Agglomération du Libournais aims to offer every young person in the area an experience of international mobility. The observation that there is a lack of mobility among young people living in the La Cali area is based on several observations: - The Espaces Jeunes youth workers observe that many young people travel little or not at all, for lack of means, confidence or knowledge. Families, for their part, are often reluctant to let young people go off on their own. The health crisis has exacerbated this phenomenon by interrupting the activities and operations of these facilities. - The report by the ‘Observatoire de la réussite scolaire du Libournais’ confirms this observation, highlighting a lack of ambition among young people in the Libourne region when it comes to choosing a career. Cultural and financial barriers, as well as a low level of language learning (below national expectations), are identified as the root causes of the problem. In response, the EU's mobility policy aims to offer every young person an experience of mobility abroad. To achieve this objective, several actions are envisaged: - Stimulating young people's interest in international mobility through various schemes, whether for study, leisure, voluntary work or opening up to the world. International exchanges and trips, in particular, are designed to attract the attention of young people who do not use existing facilities and to promote the work of the youth service at a local level. - International trips are designed as opportunities for cultural exchanges, discovering new countries, getting involved in projects and defending values through various themes. They also aim to raise collective awareness and civic responsibility, particularly around themes such as ecology. In addition, these trips encourage personal initiative by involving young people in the organisation of their projects and reinforcing their language skills. The aim of the project was to offer young people an experience of international mobility. The main objectives were to - Stimulate interest in international mobility. - Encourage cultural exchanges and open-mindedness. - Improve participants' language skills. - Strengthen international partnerships. - Increase the visibility and scope of local initiatives through European collaboration. So that every young person can discover the world and grow from it. For each young person, this was their first experience of international mobility. The Youth Department is making sure that it is always new participants who benefit from these mobility opportunities.
