The main objective of the A1 project is to learn how to lead a group, and to acquire the skills and competencies needed to lead international volunteer workcamps. The training was called "BECOME A TEAM LEADER IN WORKCAMPS". This training is aimed at future leaders of international workcamps, and focuses on group life to enable them to grasp the challenges of living in a group, and the roles and responsibilities of leaders. It's also an opportunity to give meaning to the workcamps they'll be leading: why are we organizing them? what values are we promoting? and to enable leaders to think about what they want to pass on, and how. In particular, we emphasize welcoming diversity, understanding intercultural issues, combating discrimination and violence, and respect for all. The second activity (A4), the youth exchange, aimed at bringing young people together around a common topic: climate. The Youth Exchange was called "RISE & THRIVE: YOUNG ACTIVISTS FOR A GREENER TOMORROW". Participants imagined and developed local climate advocacy or education actions; by national group, with project development tools: setting goals with the SMART system, experimenting with the Circle of Creativity. The group also learned and shared knowledge and experiences around activism and climate issues in their respective territories and communities. The youth exchange also emphasized the importance of speaking in front of a group. Participants were able to try that out and put skills into practice by presenting their respective projects in front of the rest of the group. Finally, the two projects were an opportunity not only to train facilitators for international workcamps or to make young people develop local actions around climate, but to make the Concordia project live by sharing a week of non-formal education where everyone has things to share and learn, where the group makes decisions collectively, lives as a collective and struggles with the division of tasks. The aim of both projects was also to allow intercultural encounter, to allow dialogue and learning about oneself and others. The objectives of our activities are to (1) promote mobility for all, and to give young people, especially those with fewer opportunities, the means to live a short and significant experience of European mobility and engagement, (2) strengthen our network of partners in our territory, to inform a large number of young people about the opportunities available and to implement social, environmental and solidarity projects in cooperation, and (3) to develop awareness of a European identity, strengthen adherence to common values and combat the withdrawal of identity by enabling young people to develop a critical and open mind through educational activities encouraging their reflection, their expression and analysis.
