Through chosen topics as much as methods, we wanted to provide participants with tools to work towards an open and inclusive society, where everyone can feel legitimate to speak, and in a comfortable position to listen to their peers, beyond cultural, generational or socio-economic differences. The youth exchange and seminar programmes have enabled us to bring together a heterogeneous, multinational and intergenerational audience to discuss issues that cut across European society, such as ecological transition, social inclusion or participative democracy. Our aim is, at our scale, to develop the society we want to live in, in a framework favourable to experimentation, open to differences and disagreements. We wanted to experiment with theoretical inputs, but also through shared practical experiences in daily life, participative workcamps and guided debates, which put into practice and question the values we want to defend.
