Our approach to this project was as follows: -Young people have values and principles to defend, -Allowing young people to express themselves and to have a say on i ssues that will affect their generation, -Protecting the environment is a form of civic and political engagement. The young people's exchange provides a caring and creative framework for intercultural encounters, and has made it possible to achieve the initial objectives: 1) Raise young people's awareness of their ability to defend their opinions/convictions. 2) Encourage new forms of cooperation and cohesion 3) Encourage young people and society to adopt non violent, high impact and constructive forms of expression, 4) Develop young people's sensitivity to and curiosity about environmental protection. 5) Discover the actions taken by local people to tackle the problem of global warming.
