We aimed to strengthen the democratic, social, and cultural participation of young people in local and regional life in Europe. The project sought to help young people better understand their role as active citizens, explore ways to participate in local decision-making processes, and get involved in their communities. The main objectives were: To raise awareness among 24 young people from three European countries (France, Slovakia, Armenia) and Guadeloupe about the importance of youth participation, particularly its social and cultural dimensions. To create 5 videos highlighting the challenges faced by young people in their local realities while proposing solutions. To train these young participants to conduct a social media campaign called the "Youth Participation Week," aimed at spreading the project’s ideas and sharing their knowledge with other young people in their respective communities. In total, 26 people participated in the project: 20 young participants, 4 group leaders, and 2 facilitators. In addition to these objectives, we sought to develop practical and civic skills among young participants through non-formal education methods. We also aimed to strengthen the capacity of partner organizations to support meaningful youth participation by creating a cultural and educational exchange based on collaboration and shared experiences.
