The main aim of the project was to help reduce unemployment among young people who are NEET (neither students, nor employees, nor trainees) in the Mediterranean, by bringing together those involved in vocational education and training (VET). The specific objectives were as follows: 1. to promote the development of the skills of the players involved, 2. to encourage the dissemination of the project's successes, 3. to develop international advocacy by giving a voice to the young beneficiaries, with the ultimate aim of this advocacy being carried out by the young people themselves. This Youth Exchange programme project, called "MedExchange" (Med = Mediterranean Exchange), was designed to give young people the opportunity to discover new cultures, develop leadership skills, promote international understanding and raise awareness of environmental protection issues by proposing innovative solutions to help them integrate into society and the economy. The aim was to train a new generation of young people fully committed to preserving the Mediterranean environment, by providing them with training and organising a travelling exhibition showcasing their actions in favour of this environment.
