This youth exchange project, entitled ‘Planet in the Plate’, was implemented in 2023-2024 by the Mission Locale de l'Ouest (MIO) in Reunion Island, in partnership with Youth Centre Villa Elba in Finland and the NGO ‘Ocean of Knowledge’ in Croatia. The aim of the project was to enable young people from Reunion, Finland and Croatia to meet in each partner country around the topic of sustainable food, in order to enhance their skills and knowledge on the topic, and encourage sustainable behaviors. More specifically, the project aimed at: - Organising 3 exchange activities (in Reunion, Finland and Croatia), with 24 participants from the 3 countries in each activity (i.e. 72 mobilities during the whole project) ; - Enabling young people with fewer opportunities to travel, meet and exchange with young people from a different culture ; - Involving young people in the different phases of the project, from its conception to the dissemination of results ; - Developing their knowledge and skills in the field of sustainable food ; - Developing their social skills and their openness to the world ; - Raising awareness about Europe and the opportunities offered by Erasmus+ and mobility programmes. The involvement of young people in all stages of the project aimed at enabling them to be active citizens and supporting their personal and professional development.
