Considering how sexist and sexual violence is a global phenomenum, and given the extent of discrimination against LGBTQI+ people, there is an urgent need for people involved in social transformation and popular education to pool their strengths, share their experiences, open up to practices that are developing beyond their own borders, and transform their narratives through new emancipatory practices to combat sexism. This step was and still is necessary to transmit to young people ways of living together that no longer reproduce gendered relations of domination (discrimination based on gender, sex, sexual orientation, but also sexist violence such as street harassment, the devaluation of women or trans people). We wanted these encounters to take a variety of forms, in which the body, the spoken word and other forms of expression could complement each other. The objectives of this training course were as follows: To enable participants and partner-structures to -Discover and/or reinforce anti-sexist practices in a variety of forms: physical, intellectual, artistic and social expression. -Gain a deeper understanding of the questions and issues linked to the notion of gender identity -Learn how to transmit these practices in specific local contexts, aimed primarily at young people. -Be in a position to support young people in questioning gender stereotypes and combating sexist behavior - Strengthen themselves as people directly concerned by sexism or as allies (in support of those directly concerned) -Stimulate gender equality practices within partner organizations vis-à-vis young people -Enable young people to empower themselves as people directly affected by sexism or as allies. -Understand the socio-political context of gender issues in different countries -Work together to create digital radio and visual media for use in the socio-educational field.
