Objectives

In the middle of the European Year of Skills, Parcours Le Monde Sud Est wanted to promote the skills development of the young people involved in our organization, volunteers and voluntary workers. For a year, the ‘Ambassadors of Commitment - Citiz Up’ project has brought together 12 young people in the PACA region to reflect on issues related to citizenship and commitment. In this way, the young people were able to develop non-formal education tools and innovative workshops, which were then offered to and run with young NEETs in the region. The aim of the project was to propose an action BY and FOR young people. The overall aims of the project were to - Increasing the skills of the young people involved, through role-playing and training, both in-house and via partners, in facilitation techniques and the creation of educational content, as well as in the themes chosen by the group, i.e. the environment, gender equality and European citizenship. - Peer-to-peer transmission through dedicated exchange sessions - Involving young people in democratic life and developing their critical faculties by giving them a place to express themselves. - The opportunity to raise awareness and inform young people in the PACA region, particularly in the Bouches du Rhônes and Côte d'Azur areas, about the different forms of commitment. In this way, the project has promoted the involvement of young people at local level and contributed to European cohesion and the construction of a more inclusive Europe
