DEC met the following needs: increase the competence of staff and membership, encourage them for personal development, strengthen international cooperation and sharing of knowledge and experience with other individuals and organisations with the same or similar goals. Regarding the needs, the project goals were: to increase the skills of the staff and teachers, to increase the skills for personal development and to create international cooperation to have a better connected organisation.
DEC cooperates with the Croatian Ministry of Culture and Media, and was founded in 2010 and strives to develop equal intercultural relations using the neutral international language of Esperanto. Active in the cultural and educational fields, DEC deals with archiving, digitisation, publishing and distribution of materials in Esperanto at the international level and organises seminars on language problems. He gained experience on Erasmus+ projects thanks to a partnership on online education.
