Through this project, we aimed to develop students’ skills required by the labour market by enabling them to apply their knowledge in real working environments. We also sought to enhance the teaching of vocational subjects by introducing new teaching materials and modern teaching methods. In addition, the project aimed to build the school’s capacity for project management and to strengthen its European dimension through cooperation with vocational institutions and companies across the EU.
The School of Forestry and Wood Technology Karlovac is a vocational school with a long tradition of education in the fields of forestry, wood processing and design, and meteorology. The project was created in response to the challenges faced by the school – a declining number of students, low employability in the profession, and the need for higher quality practical training. The mobilities were designed as a means to develop students' skills and strengthen the European dimension of the school.
