Since the academic year 2010/2011, the University of Dubrovnik has been a full participant in the LLP programme, and later the Erasmus+ programme. Our goal has consistently been not only to increase the number of outgoing and incoming mobilities, but also to continuously improve the quality of activities and services offered to all mobility participants. From its very foundation, international cooperation has been recognized as a key driver of the University’s growth, visibility, and affirmation. Given Dubrovnik’s unique geographical position, as well as its historical and touristic significance, the University has strategically prioritized international development. By implementing the Erasmus+ mobility project, we wanted to strengthen our role as a modern, internationally oriented higher education institution, enhance the quality of teaching and research, and create added value for our academic community. Mobility activities for students, teaching staff, and administrative staff are considered essential for the University’s internationalization process. Participation in the Programme contributes significantly to building institutional capacity, fostering intercultural competencies, raising the global visibility of the University of Dubrovnik, and establishing long-term partnerships that enhance our competitiveness within the European Higher Education Area. Furthermore, Erasmus+ mobility supports the exchange of innovative practices, the modernization of study programmes, and the development of joint research initiatives. It encourages the University to strengthen ties with the local community and the regional economy by attracting international students and staff who bring new perspectives and expertise. The Programme also motivates our students and employees to act as ambassadors of the University of Dubrovnik abroad, which in turn reinforces the University’s reputation and attractiveness to future generations. Ultimately, through the implementation of Erasmus mobility projects, the University of Dubrovnik aims to position itself as a dynamic, forward-looking institution that contributes not only to the personal and professional development of its students and staff, but also to the broader mission of strengthening European cooperation in higher education.
