Objectives

Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek has aimed to further increase the number of student mobilities and strengthen the visibility of the Erasmus+ programme among both students and staff. Continuing on last project’s successful promotion of short-term mobilities for studies and traineeships, as well as blended intensive programmes (BIPs), International relations officers focused on promoting BIPs not only to students but also to academic and administrative staff across all faculties and departments, with the objective of boosting participation and motivating staff members to organize such programmes in the future. Within this project, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek has successfully organized, for the first time, 2 blended intensive programmes, with 48 participants in total. Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek was also a partner in 21 blended intensive programmes organized by partner universities. At the same time, the promotion of Erasmus+ individual mobilities proved effective, resulting in a significant increase of 33% in the total number of mobilities compared to the previous project (from 391 mobilities in 2022 to 521 mobilities within this project). This was by far the most succesful project to date for the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek in terms of total number of mobilities and total amount of reported grantand it demonstrates that the University is continuously progressing toward its strategic objective of expanding international mobility opportunities for students and staff. Another important aspect of this project was the emphasis on digitalization of Erasmus+ processes. All interinstitutional agreements were signed fully in digital form, simplifying administrative procedures and reducing the time needed for formalities. This digital shift has contributed to greater efficiency and transparency, ensuring smoother coordination with partner institutions. Moving forward, the University of Osijek remains committed to further increasing the number of mobilities and actively supporting blended intensive programmes.
