The Erasmus+ project aimed to improve international cooperation with EU countries, develop students' skills for employability, encourage intercultural understanding, advance scientifical research, develop contacts and promote EU values. International cooperation was to improve the quality of higher education both in the field of teaching and in student education. In addition, it aimed to increase the personal and professional qualities of participants who would be able to compare the characteristics of higher education in our system with the experiences and achievements in comparative police systems, i.e. during their participation in police units, they could exchange tactics in police action and study the best practices of foreign police forces as a form of acquiring new skills for employability. At a particular level, it aimed to include students in forms of short or longer educational programs at distinguished foreign university institutions (mobility for study purposes) and inclusion in the implementation of police practice (mobility for practice purposes) so that students could participate in forms of education as implemented in foreign countries and thus acquire ECTS points that would be recognized in Croatia. For our teachers, the goal of implementing the project was to increase cooperation with foreign professors, scientists and students at foreign faculties in order to demonstrate the level used in the education of Croatian students and compare it with the characteristics of police education in other countries (topics, teaching methods, methods of assessing learning outcomes, distribution of ECTS points for student activities, workload for independent work, etc.) and in the area of scientific goals. In addition, data was collected that was necessary to ensure horizontal and vertical mobility in the new study program that has been in preparation. The main goal of the program was also to promote the use of a foreign language and to underdtand cultural differences, as well as professional development and acceptance of EU values.
