The goal of the project implementation was to empower young people in the areas of human rights, combating discrimination, and promoting respect for diversity, which will, in the long term, contribute to reducing ethnic and national discrimination in the region. The project had several specific objectives: 1) To increase awareness and empower youth regarding the legacy of peace activism, the values of peacebuilding, national equality, and the peaceful resolution of conflicts, through regional cooperation between youth from Croatia and Serbia, and learning about local examples of anti-war efforts and intergenerational cooperation. 2) To strengthen civic activism and political participation among youth through fieldwork, exhibitions, educational materials, and the visibility of research in the fields of human rights and dealing with the past, while promoting active engagement in peace activism. 3) To encourage critical thinking and intercultural dialogue among young people through research work and participation in thematic groups, with an emphasis on learning about shared history, local and regional contexts, and actively involving youth in designing activities to mark important dates and promote human rights in their communities. The objectives were designed to contribute to changing young people's attitudes toward interethnic dialogue, reconciliation, and the construction of a shared European identity, and to enable youth to better understand and engage in social processes.
