The idea for the project "Use your voice - Make your Choice!" was created among the young members of the program “Youth Leaders” where they implemented the initiative "Choose a college or profession, it's important that it's up to you!", where their experience showed that a lot of young people in different European countries don’t have an idea of their professional path and are often influenced by their family members. We realized that we can achieve this positive change in the empowerment and independence of young people through the use of podcasts, since they have become a new popular media tool which shows the voice, opinions and attitudes of young people. That is why the podcasts are an added value of the project and the main driver that contributes to the sustainability of the project. Main goal of the project "Use your voice - Make your Choice!" was increase the competencies of critical thinking and independence of young people. This goal was achieved through these specific objectives: - Encourage development of individual opinion - Empower young people to be in charge of their own professional decisions; - Raise the awareness about social pressure and how to fight against it. - Providing tools to young people that they can use for advocating the importance of independent choice in society
