Objectives

We based and implemented this project based on the youngsters’ needs, which have to do with fighting against climate change, increase of personal sustainable behaviour regarding the environment, connection with nature and continuation of their non-formal education along with the participation in projects in a multicultural and open-minded environment. We offered the alternative to increasing the participants' connection with nature, spending their time outdoors in a multicultural environment while developing practical knowledge about green skills and environmentally friendly habits. At the same time, we promoted teamwork, experiential and peer-to-peer learning and shared experiences and good practices. The objectives of the project were: - Leading to development of green skills knowledge (sustainable coexisting with nature) which helps fight climate change issues. - Promoting teamwork and increasing involvement of young people regarding environmental issues by learning about planet daily issues and opening their insight to sustainable alternatives. - To promote self-awareness about our personal climate change impact, deepen participants’ awareness and understanding of environmental issues, the concept of sustainability, and eco-friendly practices. - To promote intercultural learning between youth from various countries, to raise intercultural dialogue, tolerance and solidarity through active learning and non-formal education methods. - To strengthen the cooperation between our partners' organisations and plan new activities together and to familiarise the participants with the opportunities Erasmus+ programme offers (Youth Exchanges, key learning competencies, and use of Youth Pass, sharing what they learned with peers). Our project, by directly addressing the objectives reached three main actors: 1. Our participants: They are the starting point for the changes, as we believe that the changes start from the individual level. Once the same-minded participants gathered, they could participate in the development of a more sustainable environment, and at the same time nourish the connection with nature. They left the project richer, more competent and with practical knowledge. 2. NGOs: By implementing this project, we directly answered the needs we had identified before we wrote the project. At the same time, the participating NGOs gave an opportunity to the selected youngsters to satisfy their needs. We as well identified new opportunities and planned new cooperation thanks to this project. This was a chance to expand the network and develop new activities. 3. Community: The community was in touch with our participants as we tried to reach as many people as possible, during the entire project duration, especially at the youth exchange and in the dissemination process. They could see the project happening and were influenced by both the process and results.
