Inclusion of marginalised young peopleCreativity, arts and cultureBridging intercultural, intergenerational and social divide

Objectives

The project aimed to enable the acquisition of knowledge and skills about social exclusion, and to emphasize the importance of including young people from all marginalized groups in awareness of diversity. The project encouraged diversity and emphasized the individuality of the participants and the importance of self-expression during and after it. Through the project mobilities, all participants were given the opportunity to express their views and thoughts and will thus be able to develop competencies and self-confidence. The theater aspect helped participants to get an insight into the world of acting and the creation of new characters, which affect their cognitive abilities and imagination. Such practice enabled the participants to gain experience in expression, but also to open up new knowledge about theater and acting techniques, which allowed them to become familiar with this type of art. Also, through the creation of group scenes, we focused on enhancing the importance of their role in society. The main objective of the project was to increase the level of social inclusion in our young society through creative work techniques. The specific goals were: - To make young people aware of the need for greater activation in solving social problems related to marginalized groups, that is, solving problems of discrimination and prejudice; - To unite young people at the international level through creative work techniques by studying the differences and similarities within each partner country; - To educate young people about the importance of social inclusion of marginalized groups in our community by promoting European values; and - To provide a safe space through theater, as one of the creative techniques for expressing the experiences, feelings and needs of young people.
