The goal of the project is to create "Recommendations for improving the quality of life of young people in the rural areas of the LAG Bosutski niz" through a structured dialogue of young people with decision-makers, and these serve as a basic guideline for the activities of the LAG Bosutski niz and 11 local government units for the future implementation of projects and programs financed from various sources, related to young people and work with young people in order to meet the needs of young people specified in the Recommendations. With the project, in addition to the stated goal, we wanted to achieve that young people acquire many competencies such as interactive and collaborative learning, encouraging creativity and developing thinking, teamwork, supporting participative learning, i.e. enabling young participants to actively participate in the planning and implementation of critical activities in order to develop competencies, critical thinking and problem solving skills. The joint work of young people and decision-makers through 5 discussions - a structured dialogue between young people and decision-makers and 1 final meeting strengthened the connection between local decision-makers and young participants, which contributes to the involvement of young people in processes important for their personal and professional development, the creation of new opportunities, the development of critical reflection and the ability to participate in the creation of local policies. With the project, we wanted to encourage and support young people from the local area to participate in activities together with decision makers, in order to strengthen personal, social, civic, communication and digital competences and become active citizens. The purpose of the project is to encourage young people from the local area to actively participate in civil society, express their own views in order to define the problems, needs and challenges they face in terms of social life in rural areas through the analysis of their needs, and by realizing common interactions through thematic workshops, that is, meetings between young people and local decision-makers from the area of LAG Bosutski niz.
