Objectives

The project "Participatory management of entrepreneurial infrastructure: young entrepreneurs in dialogue with decision-makers" was applied for and implemented with the aim of involving young entrepreneurs and craftsmen from the wider Pazin region in a joint reflection on existing and future entrepreneurial spaces in the area (incubators and coworking spaces), which it succeeded in. All planned activities were implemented as part of the project, and a significant number of young entrepreneurs and craftsmen, as well as decision-makers, were included in them, which contributed to connecting these target groups of the project and initiating a dialogue for the purpose of further joint co-creation of local policies in this area of interest. Specific objectives were focused on examining the needs of the young entrepreneurial and crafts population, especially in terms of examining the needs for accessible spaces and the necessary and desirable empowerment through education for successful self-employment and business, but also on introducing them to the work and examples of management of entrepreneurial incubators in Buzet, Poreč and Pula. The aim was to learn about their activities and potential good practices and, partly based on them, to make and adopt recommendations for improving the work and visibility of existing and future business incubators and coworking spaces. The aim was to contribute to creating an enabling environment for the establishment and operation of new crafts and companies in central Istria and to ensure support for the economic development of the area.
