Objectives

This project aimed at achieving following objectives: a) Foster an intersectoral collaboration between diverse professionals with a primary goal to develop digital pedagogy and didactics, based on good practices, that support teaching professionals towards innovative approaches for the purpose of green skills development in secondary school education b) Increase the capacity and readiness of school institutions for the purposeful use of digital technologies in education, learning, assessment and engagement, promoting the innovative use of digital education content related to learning for the green transition

Background

We applied for this Erasmus+ project to address several crucial needs shared across our consortium partners. Our main goal was to build the capacities of all partners by creating digital educational tools focused on green skills and sustainable practices. PKD aimed to expand its impact on secondary education professionals by digitizing its permaculture education resources, allowing for broader dissemination of their sustainable development knowledge. Zeleno doba wanted to influence its staff’s digital skills but lacked the funding to fully implement and share its sustainable education initiatives digitally. This project provided a way to enhance its international network and create accessible digital resources for educators. 4change needed more accessible tools for their NFE activities in rural schools of Romania, as they teach sustainable development topics but lack modern and engaging materials (digital resources such as learning nuggets). SŠ Braće Radić required up-to-date, innovative digital tools to support sustainable agronomy education. They needed resources and training to equip their staff with relevant skills in sustainable development topics, especially permaculture.
