Within the project, we implemented various activities aimed at raising awareness about the importance of preserving the environment and the plant world. By creating educational scenarios, the participating organizations established a foundation for the final product that will serve as a tool for further education and promotion of sustainable development. Workshops were held in each participating country, focusing on specific environmental problems present in those areas, where participants worked together to find acceptable and practical solutions. The association moderated all activities using creative and informal methods to encourage active involvement and exchange of experiences. Special attention was given to innovative approaches to education, including stage performances where plants symbolically “spoke” about the need to protect the environment and their essential role in ecosystems. This approach enabled participants to gain new knowledge interactively, raise awareness of human impact, and be encouraged to share what they learned within their communities.
We applied for this project because we recognized the urgent need to raise awareness about the importance of the plant world and responsible human behavior towards the environment. By analyzing the current state of the educational system, we identified a lack of effective and innovative teaching methods addressing climate change and nature protection. The need we addressed was the development of new learning approaches through research work, teamwork, creative methods such as theatrical expression, and cross-curricular topic integration. Students actively participated in the process instead of passive listening, developing their own responsibility, creativity, and collaboration skills. Teachers created and improved teaching scenarios, and through dissemination, the project also influenced the wider community. With further use of the developed teaching scenarios in fields such as biology, chemistry, art, ecology, and more, both teachers and students involved will remain active participants in an educational process characterized by innovation in teaching methods. The long-term goal is to reduce the negative impact of human activities and encourage sustainable habits among all participants and the broader community.
