Objectives

We wanted to realise the following mobilities in order to contribute to the internationalisation of our academic programmes: - 15 student mobilities for studies - 15 student mobilities for traineeship - 15 staff mobilities for teaching - 10 staff mobilities for training. On the institutional level, we wanted to increase the visibility of KJU within the European higher education community, and develop cooperation with international universities that can lead to further joint projects (in education and research). Concerning the student mobility part of the project, we wanted to provide the participating students with valuable academic, professional, and personal development opportunities through study and internship placements across Europe. The mobilities also aimed to strengthen language proficiency and intercultural competence, to encourage open-mindedness, adaptability, and respect for diversity and European values. In addition to the academic benefits, participation in Erasmus mobility was expected to also support the participants’ personal growth by encouraging independence, resilience, and self-confidence, and help students build international networks, enhance their employability, and prepare for future careers in a global context. As for the staff mobilities for teaching and training, we wanted to strengthen the international dimension of KJU and to create opportunities for professional growth. By supporting teaching assignments abroad, we wanted to encourage the exchange of knowledge and expertise, help colleagues learn about new methods and techniques, enhance the quality of teaching, and develop new perspectives on curriculum design and delivery. Training mobilities were intended to provide staff with insight into different educational systems, working methods, and administrative practices, which could then be adapted and applied within KJU. These activities also sought to build lasting partnerships with European colleagues, improve intercultural understanding, and support the development of innovative approaches to teaching, research, and institutional management.
