When writing the accreditation application, we set ourselves the goal of becoming active implementers of youth projects, through which we can support young people and professionals working with young people in developing their own skills, which are essential in the 21st century. Today, young people face more and more challenges as their environment is constantly changing. Youth workers are finding it increasingly difficult to keep up with new trends and challenges when it comes to reaching, engaging, and supporting their target groups. During our accreditation project, we implemented three activities: two training courses and one youth exchange program. When developing the concept for the programs, our goal was to implement diverse activities based on the needs of our partner organizations and our target groups, through which we could support young people and the professionals working with them in acquiring new knowledge and experience and develop competencies that will support them in meeting the challenges of the 21st century. We planned to implement all this within the framework of sustainability, as this is not only a key priority for our organization, but also one of the most fundamental areas of focus for sustainable development today, which affects everyone. We welcomed participants to our programs who were open to broadening their perspectives on global issues and learning about new methods and tools. During the programs, participants worked together in international teams using various non-formal methods, shared their experiences, sought out best practices, examined their own existing values, redefined them, and acquired new methods and knowledge in the three main topics of the projects: sustainability, sustainable fashion, and social enterprises.
