Objectives

The primary aim of the project was to address the dietary challenges faced by young people with specific dietary needs such as diabetes, celiac disease, lactose intolerance, and other dietary preferences (e.g., vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian). The project sought to promote inclusion, diversity, and equal opportunities for these individuals during international youth exchanges, particularly in Central and Eastern Europe. Objectives of the Project 1. Raise Awareness: Educate at least 100 NGOs and 100 restaurants across Central and Eastern Europe about the importance and details of various dietary needs, including diabetes, celiac disease, lactose intolerance, and other special diets. 2. Create E+ COOK BOOK: Develop a comprehensive tool with detailed descriptions of these dietary requirements and recipes for local dishes from Hungary, Serbia, Romania, Poland, Czech Republic, and North Macedonia. This cookbook would ensure that young people with dietary restrictions have equal access to suitable food options. 3. Participant Preparation and Empowerment: Prepare 36 participants from six countries to find new dietary solutions, enhancing their quality of life and health. Equip them with the knowledge and skills to advocate for and implement these solutions within their communities and future international projects. 4. Disseminate Project Results: Ensure the widespread dissemination of the project's outcomes, including the E+ COOK BOOK, to maximize impact and encourage the adoption of inclusive practices in youth exchanges and other relevant activities. 5. Promote Inclusion and Diversity: Support the personal and professional development of young people by fostering an inclusive environment that respects and accommodates diverse dietary needs, thereby reducing discrimination and enhancing participation in Erasmus+ projects.
