By implementing the project, we aimed to achieve several key outcomes that would positively impact the lives of young people from the 6 participating communities: Empowerment and Resilience: We wanted to equip young people with the knowledge and tools to combat online bullying. This included understanding the different forms of online harassment and learning effective strategies for handling such situations. The goal was to foster a sense of resilience and empower youth to stand up against online abuse. Critical Media Literacy: The project aimed to improve participants' abilities to critically assess information found on the internet. We hoped to develop their skills in recognizing fake news and misleading information. Through workshops and interactive sessions, we wanted to cultivate a generation of young people who could navigate the digital landscape with greater discernment and scepticism. Responsible Online Behavior: We sought to encourage a more responsible approach to social media use among young people. This involved educating participants about the risks of sharing personal information online, understanding privacy settings, and promoting positive digital footprints. Our goal was to reduce aimless scrolling and encourage more intentional use of online platforms. Cultural Awareness and Social Inclusion: The project aimed to promote cultural awareness and social inclusion among participants from different countries. Through intercultural nights and collaborative activities, we wanted to create a space where young people could learn from one another, appreciate diversity, and build connections that transcended national boundaries. This objective was key to fostering tolerance and understanding. Community Building and Networking: We intend to build a network of young people and partner organizations committed to addressing issues related to online bullying and fake news. By bringing together participants from various countries, we hoped to create a supportive community that could share resources, ideas, and best practices for tackling common challenges. The primary goal of the project was to ensure young people have better access to reliable information, support their ability to analyse information critically and engage in participatory and constructive dialogue. Spreading awareness through the media is very important and can increase tolerance, and social inclusion fighting for equality and against fake news. The specific objectives were Objectives: 1. Ensure young people have the ability to recognize and report repeatedly misleading news and verify the accuracy of news sources used. 2. Empower young people to be critical and responsible users and producers of information. 3. Educate young people in the involved communities to use social networks confusedly in a way to gain useful information, and knowledge and be able to develop their competences.
