Objectives

We have a wonderful castle in the middle of a national park. It's a great place to organize nature walks, bird watching, learn about natural and medicinal plants, and study the ecosystem. The 14- to 15-year-old generation is so attached to the phone and digitalization, it is such a natural part of their existence that we aimed to include the use of these devices in the camp program. Our main goal is to provide the participating students with a new learning experience through the symbiosis of nature and digitization. Find related applications and learn to use these tools to better understand plants and animals. SHORT-TERM GOALS: * Organizing hikes, games, midnight forest walks and nature observations designed by young people, using virtual and digital tools to map and organize them. * Supporting young people in self-organized and cooperative learning, in building methods of self- and team-development. Exploring new ways of acquiring knowledge. * Improving the quality of informal-nonformal education of green sectorial skills and methods with changing experiences and best practices. Developing a future-oriented curriculum with practical examples which meet the needs of young generations using digital tools. *Providing green perspectives, introducing subject areas and professions which contribute to nature preservation or sustainable growth, especially in rural areas. * Raising current European issues of concern to young people and providing them with all the tools and information they need. MEDIUM-TERM OBJECTIVES: *Building knowledge, skills and attitudes on climate change, sustainable development and green thinking. * Learning cooperative techniques and project methodology. *Supporting peer learning, creating a social context where teamwork and effective cooperation can be experienced. *Offering the opportunity to build networks of international contacts, to actively participate in society and to develop a sense of European citizenship. *Developing the social capital among young people, their empowerment and ability to participate actively in the democratic life in Europe. .LONG-TERM OBJECTIVES: * Eliminating the perceived conflict between nature-environment education and digital education, bringing positions and methods closer together. *Raising awareness of the key priorities and roles settled in the European Green Deal Communication to engage with youth, society and the wider community on the changes needed for a successful transition to become climate neutral by 2050. *Introducing innovative practices to make learners, staff and youth workers true factors of change, modifying individual preferences, consumption habits and lifestyles for a sustainable development. With its complex methodology, the project raises awareness of green issues combined with digital switchover, providing methodological ideas and examples for its informal-nonformal education. Young people find out about the possibilities of studying nature on their own, they create the games and activities that interest them and bring them closer to nature. This not only increases their emotional attachment to the subject, but also helps them to discover relevant information and to create interesting, interactive tasks. This will increase their ability to learn any kind of information tailored to their own personalities, improve their self-organised learning and cooperative teamwork methods, which may later have an impact on their own personal development plans. A flexible learning method, adapted to all situations, thus contributes to sustainable growth and social cohesion in a changing society, strengthens active citizenship.
