The Art Tribe project originated from a profound understanding of the crucial needs that young individuals faced in contemporary youth work settings. These needs revolved around the essential desire for authentic, face-to-face social interactions for creative self-expression through traditional art forms. Art has always been bringing together individuals to create together, do music, dance, visual art... The rise of modern technology and the widespread use of online platforms had led to a feeling of disconnect among young individuals from the fundamental link between art and community. In response to these challenges, the Art Tribe project endeavored to confront and overcome these obstacles by fostering the creation of inclusive offline communities where young individuals can explore their artistic interests, and exchange creative ideas. By providing a safe and supportive environment, the project aimed to showcase the transformative power of engaging in creative pursuits within a non-judgmental space enriched by shared passions. Through this experience, participants were encouraged to embrace their artistic identities, leading to heightened levels of personal fulfillment and self-awareness. The objectives of this project were: - create a short-term experience of living in an inclusive non-judgemental community where youngsters can share their art interests and learn from each other - empower young people with competences to build art communities by creating one themselves - raise awareness of youngsters about art and creative activities being an important and nourishing part of their lives - support intercultural learning exchange of youngsters (both non-marginalised and with fewer opportunities) by giving them a chance to participate in the Erasmus+ project and share their passions and culture with their peers from other European countries - create an online art community which outlives the project itself and serves as a connection point between participants and partner organizations for sharing project results and good practices. In alignment with the goals of the Erasmus+ programme, the Art Tribe project placed a significant emphasis on promoting non-formal learning, active participation, and intercultural exchange among young people. By providing a dynamic and inclusive platform for diverse individuals to come together, participants were poised to cultivate essential skills, knowledge, and attitudes that would not only enrich their personal growth but also equip them to play active roles in their communities, both locally and internationally. This holistic approach not only supported individual development and cultural understanding but also contributed to fostering a sense of unity and solidarity among European youth participants.
