The specific objective of the project was to create an inclusive social practice environment where young people with mild autism, Asperger's and neurotypicality work together, experience each other's strengths and the benefits of cooperation, while practicing active citizenship attitudes around different themes. The main objective, namely to observe and develop young people's cooperation through a system of motifs hidden in the activities, was achieved through practical "tests", grouping the joint work around three main themes (exclusion, bullying / climate change / artificial intelligence and, through it, changes in the labour market). As well as reducing prejudices, breaking down stigmas and helping participants to experience a more tolerant and empathetic relationship, the collaboration also outlined possible future social co-existences in which the division of labour is not based on prejudice, but also includes (even emphasises and highlights) the role of 'freaks' marginalised by discrimination. The project was based on the needs of the participants, as confirmed by a needs assessment questionnaire. The objectives of the project were set according to the SMART objectives (specific / measurable / achievable / result-oriented / time-bound) and were closely linked to the objectives of the E+ and, within it, to the objectives of the Youth Policy and the EU Youth Dialogue. SHORT-TERM OBJECTIVES: * To provide space and opportunity for inclusion, awareness of social, societal and personal differences, where participants can understand each other's differences with tolerance and empathy, reduce prejudices and anxieties, break down stigmas about difference and discover the benefits of diversity. * To create an inclusive learning environment that is in line with non-formal-informal methods of youth work, while providing opportunities for young people to participate in civil society through its themes and forums. * Developing skills in practice, generating dialogue and joint learning with professionals and decision-makers, contributing to the EU Youth Dialogue. * Raising current European issues of concern to young people. The medium and long-term objectives of the project were closely linked to the EU Youth Strategy: MEDIUM-TERM OBJECTIVES: * To learn about cooperative techniques and project methodology. Use of informal and non-formal methods, abandoning standard approaches to knowledge acquisition. * Building the competences of young people, including Asperger's, who are at a disadvantage, to enable them to participate actively in European democratic life, with a particular focus on digital and media literacy and soft skills. * Promoting peer learning, experiencing teamwork and effective cooperation in an inclusive environment between young people with very different abilities. * Developing young people's social capital, both with their peers and with 'other' young people different from them, both in local communities and with professionals and decision-makers. OVERALL STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES: * To build an inclusive social model that recognises and uses each other's values, to practice its attitudes and to disseminate its message and experience widely. Reducing prejudices and stigmas, increasing knowledge about autism. Steps towards a more equal, fair and cooperative future social inclusion. * Helping young people to develop methods of self-development, so that they are able to reflect on and build their personal life paths, finding ways to find them compatible with their self-image and their talents, and thus to participate as aware and active citizens in building the society of the future. * To raise young people's awareness of common European values and fundamental rights and to contribute to the process of European integration. The implementation of the project (through its theme and practice) has led to the implementation of the 11 youth objectives "Inclusive societies", and has also led to the parallel implementation of the objectives "Gender equality", "Space and participation for all", "Mental health and well-being", and through its dissemination, "Information and constructive dialogue" and "Empowering young people in rural areas".
