1.Increasing green awareness The project aimed to promote sustainability awareness and mindset change among young adults. 2.Developing practical green skills It sought to strengthen participants’ practical skills in areas such as sustainable household solutions and conscious consumption. 3.Facilitating knowledge transfer A key goal was to ensure that participants not only apply the acquired knowledge themselves but are also able to pass it on to their communities. 4.Strengthening intergenerational dialogue The project created opportunities for different generations — parents, grandparents, and children — to share experiences related to sustainability and craft activities. 5.Promoting international partnership cooperation and the exchange of good practices The goal of the Hungarian–Slovak cooperation was to share experiences between the two countries, better understand each other’s local challenges and solutions, and enrich their own communities by learning from one another. 6.Promoting sustainable lifestyles through tangible tools Through the project’s outcomes, sustainability knowledge could reach as many people as possible in a long-term, engaging, and accessible way.
The Green Hand (Zöld Kéz) project was born out of the recognition that rural, disadvantaged communities often lack awareness and practical knowledge related to sustainability, green consciousness, and eco-friendly skills. The aim of the project was to address these gaps, especially by approaching sustainability through the lens of crafts and sustainable household practices. The project targeted the following key needs: - low green awareness among young adults, - lack of knowledge on how to implement sustainable lifestyle practices in everyday life, - limited opportunities for intergenerational knowledge and experience sharing, - the need to access and apply good practices from international partnerships, - the potential to use digital and non-formal learning tools (such as a card game and a handbook) to enhance sustainability education. Through this application, the partnership aimed to shape the green mindset of participants and their communities, provide practical tools for greening daily life, and ensure that the project’s results could be widely used and shared even beyond the formal project period.
