The objectives of this project related to observing and analysing good practice in other similar organisations in five different countries specialising in the addiction field to build on and enhance Coolmine's approach. We sent eight workers to observe good practices in the Therapeutic Community model and other areas such Dual Diagnosis and Mental Health. The main aim was to share learnings, insights and knowledge and build a network of professionals in the area of addiction.
Coolmine is a well established organisation in Ireland working in addiction services for the past fifty years. Established in 1973, Coolmine has expanded it's service over the years reflecting both it's commitment to ensuring individuals and communities have access to a range of services and subsequent demand for these services. The aim of Coolmine's Erasmus programme is to gain extensive knowledge around how other organisations apply new methodologies around addiction issues.
