Team members would - experience new delivery modes and techniques and reflect on how these could have an impact on teaching practice in DALC. - increase their knowledge and understanding of the adult education system in Madrid and reflect on their methods in place for recruiting and assisting those who are marginalised and from new communities. - learn how to collaborate with others including the other participants and staff in Spain. - reflect on and share their learning with the staff at DALC
The Dublin Adult Learning Centre (DALC) is a dedicated basic education centre, located in the heart of Dublin’s North East Inner City. The centre provides a wide range of courses to approximately 5500 students annually. Our project included visits to adult education centres in Spain, where we took part in job shadowing activities, explored curriculum development, observed positive classroom integration, and experienced student life abroad to compare it with the experience at our own centre.
