The primary objectives of the Erasmus mobility are as follows: 1. Use the Erasmus student mobility as an opportunity to promote and improve the development of healthy eating habits for all students taking part 2. To model and embed environmental sustainability practices in Portlaoise Institute. 3. To improve students’ chances of securing employment by giving them the experience of completing their work placement abroad.
Portlaoise College PLC is a further education centre that delivers PLC courses across a large number of areas including Healthcare, Business, Computer Science, Sports, Beauty and Hairdressing. A larger number of our courses are vocational courses which include QQI Level 5 Work Experience as a core module. We use the Erasmus mobility to give students the opportunity to complete their work experience in a different environment and culture.
