Our main objective was to test the tool-kit first hand and see how as a team we could implement it back home. Other objectives were:- 'a new way of teaching' 'positive mindset' 'embracing the Icelandic school system' 'sharing ideas with individuals on the course from other countries' 'seeking possible partners for exchanges'
Our project was a training course for staff which was titled 'The Positive Teacher' in Reykjavik, Iceland. The course enabled us as a teaching cohort to build a mindset which increases happiness, well-being and self-esteem. The course enabled us to build a tool-kit to bring back to Ireland where we could share our newfound knowledge with our colleagues who weren't lucky enough to participate on the trip and to implement some of the tools we sought into our classes on a daily basis.
